Knowing your History

When an African-American child is born, the thoughts of a parent are plentiful.  However, an American-American parent that know his/her family's history is two steps ahead of the normal game.

This is a part that will have a foundational basis to speak to her child's skills, as she references the similarities of the child's ancestors.  As she looks into her child's eyes a strong sense of self awareness is evident as she speaks gently to her son/ daughter about who they are and who's they are...

In order to teach your history, one must first know their history.  There is something important, when you know your family history.
