Folks in the Atlanta, Georgia area take note! Johnette Brooks is
presenting a program entitled “How to Honor your African American
Ancestors by Tracing, Documenting, Publishing & Donating Your Family
History.” It will be held at the Atlanta History Center Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 10:30 am to noon.
Join Johnette Brooks of HOLLA at ya ANCESTORS™ as she discusses tips and techniques for conducting African American genealogical research. Johnette will help you navigate the United States Census, slaveholder records, family histories, and other resources to piece together your family history. There is no better time than now to shine a light on the contributions of your African American ancestors to the building of this country!
